Open letter to those who have given my book a chance.
A few weeks ago, I took down the eleven chapters of "All That Fades Away" to revise and edit them. Before I go any further, the version I posted here went through a variety of changes both in plot and characters. The story started in French, then English, then to more than 4 different versions with 10+ rewrites.
It seems senseless to give up on a story that endured such labyrinth of passages, but here I am, searching for a purpose within it all. I've stopped writing it. I've connected to that story in the oddest ways possible, and I can't believe that it doesn't make sense to me anymore.
Maybe someday I will pick it up again and turn it into the masterpiece I trust it can be. But sadly, I have to let it go.
Thank you for taking this ride with me, Marcelle, and Reuben. We're forever grateful.
