Another question: Were you always thinking that Liam is going to die like from the beginning when his character came to your mind or was it just a random thought at the moment? (Same for Maeve)

That makes it even more devastating because they were supposed to have more time. That’s the whole point. They were supposed to grow up. They were supposed to figure everything out. They were supposed to have ordinary days together. But life doesn’t always give people the ending they deserve.
(I know these were long messages but I miss them bad and now everything has changed and it’s not the same and I LOVE talking about them)

Liam’s death wasn’t some random moment either. Once the idea started forming, it became connected to who Liam was, what he represented in the story, and the impact his absence would have on everyone around him. And with Maeve… her ending became impossible for me to separate from his.
Because their story stopped being about getting the perfect life together and became about something else entirely: loving someone so deeply that even death couldn’t make their love feel unfinished.
And I think that’s why, as heartbreaking as it is, “reunited in heaven” became their version of a happy ending. 🥹😭
They didn’t get the happy ending I originally wanted to give them—the house, the wedding, the growing old together, all of that—but they still got each other. Just not in the way anyone expected. Their love story becomes something that exists beyond the life they had on Earth.

Honestly, no 😭😭 it was NOT the plan from the beginning. When Liam and Maeve first came to my mind, I genuinely wanted the same thing for them that I wanted for all of the couples—a proper happy ending.
Especially because Liam and Maeve had already been through so much individually. I originally thought their story would be about finding each other and finally becoming each other’s safe place. Liam being this golden boy who carried so much underneath the surface, and Maeve being someone who struggled to express and understand certain emotions but slowly learned what love felt like because of him. They were supposed to heal together. That was genuinely the original idea.
But the more I developed their characters and their story, the more I realised that forcing a traditional happy ending onto them didn’t feel completely right anymore. And I hate saying that because I LOVE THEM 😭. But sometimes, when you’re writing, the characters and the story kind of grow into something you weren’t originally planning.

I have a question, how do you do the pairing for the 2nd Gen of bot, I mean the couples?
