(She glared at me, eyes blazing and fists clenched like she was one intrusive thought away from bashing my head against the wall.
But I didn't stop there— inching closer, I wanted her to feel every level of disregard I held for her.
"After this is done, you can go back to whatever shenanigans you like causing but for now: Behave and Move. Your—"
The words died in my throat as she yanked the hem of my collar and brought my face down to her level.
"Tariq Al-Rashid." She started — dropping my full name like it was a threat. "You might be my fiance or a twisted pawn in whatever games our families think they're playing. But disrespect me one more time and I'll put you in the ground myself"
A low hum rose from me in reply as I freed my collar from her grasp — slowly taking her soft fingers and interlocking them with mine
"What makes you think I wouldn't make you join me?"
She didn't bother answering me, instead too busy desperately trying to remove her hands from mine.
Or maybe it was because she already knew the answer.
That perhaps I'd let her...just to see if she had the guts or would choke on her own nerves.
And maybe that was the goddamn problem.
That just the glint in her eyes as she taunted me had me feeling something)
