It was a bright night. It always was. The lights meant that night never came, and life still continued deep into the early morning, and lived on ever afterwards. Since the sun never rose, the lights were never off, and the world never seemed to sleep.
The city of Spira had many tower buildings, scraping the skies. Each was built from metal and seemed to hum with power.
Bustling with life, Spira was the largest city in the world, with a population of nearly one million. Amidst the spires stood one, over a thousand feet high.

The tower was the same metal as all the others, with similar lights and beams. Nearly every detail the same as others around it, it did not seem to bear much relevance at one glance. At a closer look, though, if one were to scale the many floors of this obelisk, they would see, on one of the highest floors, a room.
And if they were to push open the door, they would find themselves in a large room, with just as many lights in it as were up most of the outer walls.
And there, in the corner of the room, was a desk. Upon the table was a large screen, a tall thin tower and many papers and stationary.
Beside it, there was a girl. She had clear pale skin, piercing eyes of emerald and ice and long blonde hair. Barely five foot five, the girl was not a day over fifteen.

Large black headphones covering her ears, loud rock music blared into her head. She pressed her fingers to the keys on the computer, typing away. Deep in thought, the girl's brow furrowed heavily. Then, light sparked behind her eyes, and she finished her chapter.
Her page consisted of many stories. Science fiction, fantasy, romance, thriller. You name it, she'd probably written it.
The girl adjusted the goggles she had on her head, sitting back in her chair and scanning over her writings. She closed off the chapter.
