The writing process for this story was truly a journey across many seasons in my life. I can't begin to express my gratitude for everyone who voted for my story and read it all the way through. You guys held me accountable for finishing the book during some of my busiest, happiest, and even darkest days.
That being said, due to religious trauma in my past (and some other reasons), some things have changed in "Upturned." I wanted to be upfront with everyone here so that you don't feel mislead if they decide to purchase the novel: religious lines have been omitted from the book. I don't know a better way to explain the situation, but I hope I haven't deterred too many of you from giving "Upturned" a chance. I felt honesty was the best policy here.
