I want a romance that will make me fall in love with the characters, bring me to the peak, rip my heart out, stomp on it (not too much!), then hand it back to me, neatly gift wrapped with a happy ending.
But, don't forget, I want to laugh, as well as cry.
No sweet love stories, please.
No break up stories.
No weak women.
No weak women. It's worth repeating.
Yes. Please, zingy eye contact. Magnetic attractions are the best!
Let's not take it too seriously, however, I'm looking for a fairy tale, not reality.
I love stories featuring arrogant, powerful men and smart, strong willed women.
I also love larger than life characters and hidden meanings.
If I just described your book, I want to read it. :)
I'm currently writing my own book, so please check it out, if you have time. I'd love feed back. Not for the faint of heart. Or those that can't take a joke. he he
Bye!
Oh, wait. Just one more thing. It's for all of ya'lls' Romantic Heroes out there.
Are you listening? Good. Remember:
If you're gonna play rough, safe words are a must! No means no, unless agreed upon before hand. (Gagging the girl is cheating.)
Everything else is fair play.
My most influential reading list (the books I read before I was 18 that stick with me):
Pride and Prejudice - Jane Austin - for the original arrogant man vs smart woman (to me anyway!)
Neuromancer - William Gibson - for showing me the matrix before 'The Matrix' and thinking outside the box.
The Mists of Avalon - Marion Zimmer Bradley - for Morgaine. I loved her so much, I refused to read the last chapter. I started over from page 1.
What you're still reading? Wow.
Well, if you're THAT bored, you can listen to my playlist for 'Tipping Fate', if you want. It's still a work in progress.
Prepare yourself for cross-cultural awesomeness.
