@_pretty_pluviophile_ am going through something v similar hospital/doctor-wise (off for post-op consultation with surgeon this morning actually) so kind of get what you’re going through — here we’re in a major snow event so it’s tricky getting back to hospital, fingers crossed we can both put this scenario behind us soon! Good sign that you’re inspired to do some writing now, hope that means you’re feeling better.

how is Hope different from Expectations?
@_pretty_pluviophile_ In my opinion, hope is wishing for something to come true without any expectations (waiting for that something to really happen no matter what happens), but expectations can be painful if we end up feeling disappointed for not getting what we really want.
