Hi :) hoping you’re doing well. Just wanted to give you some encouragement to keep writing! Ofc if you’ve stopped bc of life, that’s completely okay and understandable. Wattpad is basically writing for free and it takes time and effort to write. In case it’s bc you’ve felt discouraged, I wanted to lyk that before seeing your message to check out your story, I was thinking about writing a more diverse shifter story, especially involving Spanish, as a first time writer.

It’s really cool and uplifting to see someone add in nonyt cultures. As a first gen Mex-American, I rarely ever was surrounded by anyone blonde or red haired or blue/green eyed until college, so I don’t actually see myself in these stories as most other users on Wattpad. It feels more like enjoying a story on the outside, which is fine in some cases, but definitely refreshing to be able to relate.

I know it’s tough to be seen on here as a writer because there are so many stories and writers. I hope you haven’t given up ♥️ your writing is really good and it’s one of the few stories I’ve actually stuck around for on here.

yeah that’s totally understandable :) for myself life has gotten in the way and it’s hard to find the time to write. And it can be discouraging with how hard it is to get noticed since booktok and Wattpad blew up.

I just realized I wasn’t even following you (I am now lol) & it’s only been a few months that I’ve realized how much votes mean when I’ve been a reader for a long time . I’m sure there’s a lot of readers too who don’t realize small things like that can really help push your story. And when we’re binging a story it’s easy to forget to vote when we’re scrolling to the next chapter. Don’t feel embarrassed to continue asking at the end of chapters to vote. Maybe rn the people who’ve read it so far are part of the silent readers group so it might take time to get comments also. I’ve seen popular authors who don’t have a lot of comments either so it’s not a bad sign.

I’m still planning out my stories and hope to create a separate page to post, but I’ve been on Reddit lately to get advice. There’s a lot of helpful stuff on the Wattpad Reddit and the writing Reddit.

Like some authors said that as a first timer to focus on putting out a good amount of content and not to stress too much about views at first bc most ppl are binge readers. And i noticed I do that as a reader too. If I see a new story, I might save it and come back to it when there’s more so I can read a good chunk at once. And a lot of authors ditch WIPs, so as a reader it feels “safer” to wait for more chapters bc you don’t want to get invested in a story that might get deleted. Also, the Wattpad Reddit has authors who are trying to get their stories noticed and I’ve seen people open to R4Rs and offering advice for how to promo. But yeah! Just wanted to share some advice I’ve seen that encourages me to go for it I hope you do continue even if it’s a slower rollout. There’s definitely people here who are invested, most of us are prob silent tho lol

Oh my goodness you’ve absolutely made my day! Thank you for your kind words and encouragement. I haven’t been writing lately because of my busy schedule and, yes, some discouragement as well. I appreciate you taking the time to write this to me and reading it has made me want to try and pick up TLOLE again. I’m actually going back to school in March, but I will try to make time to provide all you lovely readers with some updates. Thanks again!
