Yeah, There's a few different ones out there, thats just one of them. So yes, definitely be careful. Ive been here since 2016, but the scamming didn't really start until maybe like a year or two ago. Sometime after Wattpad got rid of its private messaging system. After that this place has pretty much been a ghost town as far as im aware of.
There are some scams trying to get you to click virus links through the promise of Adult content.
About a month ago there was a group of people just tagging people trying to get them to buy follows and you couldn’t do anything about it because Wattpads report system saw nothing wrong, and if you blocked them, you would only get tagged by a different account.
But this one is the most common one. Although at first they pretend to have read your book, but I think they are getting a bit smarter since this time they actually read a single chapter. But they always want to talk with you about your book on a different platform because they don't feel comfortable talking about it here, even though they already did.
