@accioavacadoxx honestly i adore all the seasons for different reasons honestly! 3 and 4 are next on my post finale rewatch

Yeah, I really loved S3 and S4, but 2 was good!!!

@accioavacadoxx omg right! they removed all of poor mike’s braincells, like how could he not know?! bro still hasn’t realised about the painting evidently haha. 
            
            the writing is my main issue with will getting over mike so quickly - they built up will’s love for him over many seasons and depicted it as being more than a childhood crush like tammy was for robin. if they wanted to go that route that’s fine but they should’ve wrapped up that storyline in s4 and had his s5 plot solely about becoming comfortable with his sexuality, bc it made the story worse having him get over this big thing in like two days. though i’m very glad he’s happy! (also please don’t think i’m attacking you or anything it’s so hard to get tone across online, this is very much just my own interpretation as a queer viewer and you’re very much entitled to your opinion!) <3

@a-wholelotof-fandoms Tbh there were a lot of inconsistencies with the storyline. Wasn’t it in S3 that Mike literally said “it’s not my fault you don’t like girls” when he and Will were arguing?? For Mike to then act all oblivious and be like “I’m sorry man, I didn’t realise what you were going through” in the final episode after Will had come out in Ep7, it just seemed bizarre to me. Like EVERYONE knew Will was into guys, including Mike.
            
            But there was never any implication that Mike liked Will. It was completely one sided because Mike was in love with El, and Will knew that. I think Will telling everyone the truth, helped Will move on and realise that it was just a silly little crush. When Will is shown with that other guy in the bar, that probably would have been set at least 2 years after the final battle against Vecna, seeing as 18 months had passed by when they were at their graduation, and Will had moved away after their final DnD game.

@accioavacadoxx yes agree! it was great seeing the nice stuff at the end and wrapping up character arcs etc but it needed a much stronger base to finish from. agree about the episode needing to be longer, i don’t think anyone would’ve minded a 1.5/2h final battle section then the 40min epilogue as it was. i kept thinking there was going to be a plot twist bc it all happened too easily haha.

STRANGER THINGS SPOILERS
            
            I agree that the finale felt a little underwhelming. Don’t get me wrong, I loved seeing where all the characters ended up and seeing all the wholesome stuff, but I would have liked more action and loose ends tied up, then add the fluff to the end of the episode, and maybe make the episode like 2.5 or 3 hours long instead of only 2 hours. Like killing Vecna seemed way easier than it should have been.
            
            And I personally think that El is still alive. Mike had promised El that they would leave together and find a place with three waterfalls and be happy. For the Duffers to then choose to show El at the end, in a location with only two waterfalls, that implies to me that El did escape. If Mike was telling his story of El finding her dream location, then there would be three because it’s what they had wanted.
