Me jumping between a middle-earth oneshot, researching for a loose idea of a wlw rivals to lovers next gen hp trimagical tournament FF (now that is a mouthful), revisiting older ideas of a Dorlene FF, loose ideas for an own fantasy world, and my newest idea an alternative universe Wylan x Jesper Oneshot (cause I’m currently listening to the audiobook while scrubbing walls at work - don’t ask - and can’t get over how I love their banter and Wylans stubborn grumpiness in the beginning of SoC and I need more of this).

So yeah, I guess I‘ll never finish anything.
But that’s how I usually work *cries in the corner*

@a_hazelnut I can relate so much! It´s like there are countless people in your head all talking at once. Or, like the storytelling-section of your head is a trainstation with people coming and going every minute, all urging you to tell them, where to go. Like a beehive.
And, is there anything better than long, complicated classifications for Fanfiction?
Yes, Wylan and Jesper are the best. I fell into the SoC-section of Pinterest this week and it´s so cute it hurts.
You have to tell me everything about all of these!

As much as I´d love to read your stuff, you are under no obligation to ever finish anything (though, I really understand the urge to do so). If you enjoy working on it, that´s enogh.

The phases of a TV-Show obsession:

          1. The watching/ The beginning of the end (of one‘s sanity)
          2. The YouTube Phase: Clips, Interviews, Behind the scenes, reactions (like, you won‘t stop until you‘ve seen every little snippet that‘s out there)/ falling in love with the cast (and mourning your own social life)
          3. Podcasts and drawing (getting sad bc there actually isn‘t that much good audio content and your drawings can’t catch what you meant to draw) (but also good bc in this phase you do sth productive)
          4. Fanfiction (when you realise you need more of the story, but struggle to find THE ff that catches the feeling you crave)
          5. Realizing that you really deeply got caught up and probably will stay switching between the points above for some time yet
          6. Writing desperate posts about your obsession, trying to find others
          7. Moving on ???? (maybe) (to the next obsession)

Not to mention that all of the above includes staying up late and getting sleep deprived (real life? health? we don‘t need it)

          Can someone relate? Pls?
For me, currently, the TV-Show in question is Young Royals (I‘m late to the party as always).
What are you guys obsessing about lately?

@Alice_Allington ah i didn‘t watch the movies yet, are they good? And yess, certainly keep me updated

@Alice_Allington yeah i read red white and royal blue, I liked it quite a bit. I think it‘s got a really different vibe than Young Royals though, not only bc the characters are quite a bit older and it‘s kind if enemies to lovers, which YR definitely isn‘t, but it‘s also a queer prince love story, so there‘s a connection there.

@Alice_Allington Yeah same! Generally with Scandinavian countries. I‘m pretty sure that Denmark as well has a royal family, but I really don’t know about Norway. But thinking about it there are probably more royal families in Europe than you‘d think, bc literally the only one I actually know about is the UK.

Anyone ever thought about the fact that Albus‘ as well as Aberforth‘s work has a boar as a symbol. I know everything around Hogwarts is kind of boar-themed, but it strikes me that even though their work and the reputation coming with it are so different, both of them work at a place whose symbol is some sort of boar.
Like the two of them being brothers, but at the same time very different and not the best friends.
Okay, I‘ll stop overanalysing this now and go back to writing ^^

Alice_Allington

@ a_hazelnut Don't! Please keep overanalyzing (and go back to writing, please XD)

Hi!

I want there to be a Silmarillion Ballet.

Like, Beren and Lúthien would translate so well into dance. The drama, the romance, the tragedy, dancing already being an important theme in the story. And just imagine a ballet version of the duel between Sauron and Finrod. There's so much potential.

a_hazelnut

@Alice_Allington Oh, the Corps as trees idea is so good - they could always change their standing point in order to prevent Aredhel from getting away from the stage aka the forest - you could do a great organized chaos thing with it.
For Feanor you could do a really amazing powerful choreography with lots of fast and high jumps.
I like the Numenor idea a lot too, though I think it might be difficult to tell this story via ballet cause there's lots of politics in there. I think that's why Beren and Lúthien would work so well - you can easily "just" take it as the love story without the wider context. But you could do smaller pieces for certain scenes - like the Maedhros/Fingon scene that aren't presented in the context of a big ballet.
With Earendil you could also do the Corps as waves thing - and you could do a lot with the lighting as well.

Or Aredhel in Nan Dungortheb with the Corps as trees and Eol allways sneaking arround in the background while she fights to escape!

Or the downfall of Numenor with the Corps as waves who lift people and in the end they all lie on the floor and then Sauron, who lies in the middle, stands up very slowly...
(Guess, I'm getting a bit too much into this idea)
