It's strange.
The pain I always mocked at was the one paying the rent for my art.
I cant write when I found peace with my sorrows.
Always, every poem began with a wound. Give me tears and I'd turn them into verses. Give me longing and I'd weave it into metaphors. Give me pain and I'd make something beautiful out of it.
But what happens when the monsters in your head stop screaming?
What do you write when the grief you've carried for so long finally sits beside you in silence?
Perhaps this is my poet's block.
Or perhaps I'm simply learning a new language, one that isn't spoken in heartbreak.
