Actually I don't just want to be a part time author, I want to be recognised and I am working really hard on my dream, to be honest.

@aainikdas01 Sure, great thing that you have the resilience. It is a very long and drawn out process and requires a lot of patience. Before swimming in success you have to swim in constant critique, failures and rejection slips. Some of my friends were happy after their poems were rejected because it is a part of the learning process. Don't fall into the hands of Vanity presses and you shall prosper. ~ TTD

Actually, I thought continuously at Wattpad, but I thought against it. I want to be a published author, and it will be really very difficult to find a good publisher if I already publish my works in another platform. Currently I am working on a novel, writing poems, whenever something comes to my mind.

@aainikdas01 About your concern of whether you can publish works on books that are already published online. Yes! You can. Online sites don't own your work or have any policy like that. You are the copyright holder of the work you publish on these sites and will face no problem while publishing them in books or vice versa.

@aainikdas01 First of all, It's great that you are writing and publishing on Wattpad. What would be better (I think) is that you go on AllPoetry and publish your poems there because they have a good structure for reviewing poems which is better than Wattpad (worked out for me). Secondly,(this is gonna be a bit long) don't think about publishing now because a poem is like a baby, it requires a lot of time, attention, care and effort to grow and mature. While writing poems try to refine them as much as possible (make 3 to 4 alternative poems on the topic) after finishing the poems, judge them on your own and after doing all this write down the final version. First publish on websites (like AllPoetry or Wattpad) then gather the critiques, refine them once more, repeat this process for all the poems AND FINALLY approach a genuine company who judge and give you actual critique on your poems before publishing them. From my experience, I am speaking all this. I had published two of my poems in an Anthology of poems of a company (I won't tell the name) and they assured me that all that goes into their book is selected by a panel of judges who rate the poems. They made me pay for the poems I submitted in their book! They didn't give me a free copy (not even a digital one). I had to buy my own book and when I read it, the poems were all cliched, they had written "u" instead of "you" in many poems. These companies try to exploit young writers for their own financial gain. So try to refine your language before considering publication. When you become good at your craft, they will flock like sheeps to you! Regards, TTD

I was going through your poems and I loved them! Creative and imaginative. Loved the narrative, symbolism, and metaphors. Looking forward to reading more!

Thanks, it is very heartwarming to think that at least one reader finds my work enthralling.
