So uh… with semi-great regret, I will be temporarily pulling from the shelf as I work on improving all of it. Essentially it’s going under acute repair. I had a really interesting idea on where to go with it but since the actual story is half way (more or less) through with being done with, I wanted to pull it so I could properly formulate a way for it to go into the story without it looking really harshly edited in there. I want it to make sense, not just like a… oh so this happened and has been there the whole time, kind of thing.
I don’t have an accurate answer when it will be republished, but it’s not an abandonment of the story, so don’t panic.
While it’s true I could have left this version up on the shelf and worked on a new one, I’d much rather have you readers forget about the story as it is and go into it with a fresh perspective and new expectations. Not that a whole lot is going to be lost or changed, but a new perspective is needed, I feel.
I also just want to edit some of the conversations and content between Garry and [Name], since I feel like a lot of their dialogue is rather odd and forced, and I want it to be a bit more entertaining.
It’s not going to be overtly obvious, but as it is, I’m not extremely happy with it. I want to publish something that makes me feel good about writing - if it’s not motivational, I won’t write for it, and that’s the last thing I want to happen, honestly.
