          Sorry for going MIA for over a year, but I have an announcement!
          
          Not a day goes by that I am not reminded of “Innocent Bystander's” existence and cringe at some of what I wrote. I still love the story as a concept, but there are many story elements I would never include if I were writing it today. Not to mention, after losing several brain cells trying to figure out the timeline of Teen Wolf season 6B (specifically the Nolan driving of it all), I've come to the conclusion that I got some character ages/grades completely wrong. Although, in my defence, I genuinely thought Liam and Nolan became co-captains during the two-year time skip, and the Teen Wolf Wiki page says Nolan was born in 1998, which would've made him a sophomore in September of 2013 (Teen Wolf Wiki, I'm in your walls, babe ).
          
          Rather than throw out all of my hard work, I’ve decided to rewrite Innocent Bystander in its entirety. For the most part, the main plot will stay the same (it’s mostly canon-compliant, so it has to), but much of the writing and story mechanics will be substantially changed and/or improved for the sake of the reading experience (and my peace of mind).
          
          This rewrite will be called “Innocent Bystander: Remastered." I don't have a release date in mind just yet, but I'll update as soon as I do. Chances are, the original fic will be deleted at some point before the remaster is complete, but I'll know for sure later down the line. “Innocent Bystander: The Extras,” however, will absolutely be deleted, since much of what’s included either has to be retconned or makes me want to crawl into a hole and stay there (sometimes it’s both).

Hi all,
          
          For starters, I’d like to take a moment to thank you all for supporting my work over the last several years. I would not have been able to find the motivation to continue this series for so long had it not been for all of you.
          
          With that said, it is with great sadness that I put the "Harry Potter: New Generation" series on indefinite hiatus. I tried to hold on for as long as possible, hoping to provide a safe space for people to enjoy HP while feeling accepted for who they are. However, JKR's ever-growing bigotry has made it impossible for me to work with her IP without feeling awful about it.
          
          I’ve been pouring my heart and soul into this series since I was fourteen years old and would’ve loved to see it through to its completion. That said, supporting the transgender community matters so much more than finishing a fanfic series, no matter how big it is, or what you want to provide. Thus, I’m sure my teenage self would respect this decision.
          
          With that said, this series was far too big a project for me to just abandon without providing closure. Thus, I will be posting what I have done of "Forbidden Words: Part 1" sometime next week (I'm too bogged down by courses to do it now). The end of the fic will include a chapter called "The End", which details where the series would have gone had I continued.
          
          After next week, the series will remain undeleted for those who wish to read through it, but no additional chapters will be posted from that moment onward. That said, I’m still open to responding to comments if anyone has any questions regarding where the series was supposed to go.
          
          Once again, thank you all so much for your support over the last several years. Remember: Trans women are women. Trans men are men. Trans rights are human rights.

Finally got around to watching the Teen Wolf Movie today. As a whole I thought it was an amazing movie. With respect to how the Innocent Bystander characters will fit into the story in the sequel… Oh boy, I’ve got my work cut out for me.
          
          I’m not gonna spoil anything major, but here’s where my mind is right now:
          
          - One of my OCs is gonna be done immensely dirty given certain circumstances.
          - I wanted to put Stiles in the fic somehow, but the movie takes place over the span of, like, a couple days from what it seems, I really don’t know how that’s gonna happen. I will definitely try my best to squeeze him in there somehow though.
          - If I’m grateful for one thing, it’s that Monroe’s fate was never specified, thus, Josh and Brittany’s story still stands (you’ll see what I mean by that in due time).
          
          That’s all I can say without spoiling the movie. I’ll update when I can!

I wasn’t sure where else to put this, since IDK who’d see it on the Tumblr blog and I don’t have any Teen Wolf content to use for an AN in “Innocent Bystander: The Extras”, so I’m putting it here:
           
          I can confirm that, although Liam and Hikari will be a thing in the Teen Wolf movie, Thiam will remain canon in Innocent Bystander 2 (it’s a soulmate AU so I can’t really un-canon it without killing off Theo, which I PROMISE y’all I will NOT be doing). If Hikari really needs a love interest, it’ll be one of my OCs (I already know who it’ll most likely be).
          
          If I can keep Gabe alive, I can definitely swap out one love interest for another.
