          I read it twice, I'm sure it was called The hummingbird, about a white guy and black girl in the 60s that start to form a bond.
          
          I remember the white boys name, I'm sure it was Harley or Harvey and he had a hummingbird tattoo on his neck. 
          
          Damn, and they first saw each other when his friends were driving and hers were and they passed each other. If I remember, words were thrown around too.
          
          Such a shame, that was a good book
