I feel bad about not updating this in so long but i've been working on other art projects and they have actual deadlines
waaaahhh. I need to start writing. My plan wasn't to stop but you know working three jobs has made my life crazy and left me little time to myself to actually write and create art.
I know it's been a while since I've been on/writing but I will get back soon I promise! I have a new job and its finals week which is why I've been slacking.
so I’m thinking of writing a story with an ace main character. set in the 19th century / steampunk. Sci-Fi. But I got stuck… do I have the creative license, since this story is partially fantasy, to have my own character coin the term asexual? or how else can I introduce asexuality considering in that time period they probably didn't use that term or have one. If anybody has ideas please let me know.
@acetheist The term was not used in the 19th century, as no one identified as such. Because this is a fantasy story the term 'asexual' could certainly be coined by your character. However since homosexuality was also unheard of, you may have to think of a different term such as 'Interclose' instead of intercourse or something like that.
