Guess who spent 3.5 hours writing today? This girl!!! I have a question on my IG story so if you’re not following me, you should go check out @notthat_alexcooper and answer my question about the car you or your parents drive.

Netflix dropped the trailer for the final season of Outer Banks today. It’s a little bittersweet. That show was the first fandom I actually wrote fanfic for. The last season looks awesome, but I’m in my feelings that my silly boat show is coming to an end.
In case anyone is wondering how the novel writing is going, today, my TikTok FYP has been covered in videos from car dealership service departments. I just learned that mechanics spend their own money to buy their tools. This book will be so authentic. Good Lord, and I’m learning this from TikTok!!
The novel is a WIP!!! AHHHHH I’m so excited!
The thing I’m struggling with is transitioning my brain between writing in first person POV and third person because I’m working on the novel and future works for the JCFI universe on here and AO3. It’s ROUGH (and it’s state testing season, and it’s April, and my teacher brain is TIRED) out here. (Please follow my author IG!!)
Last chapter of RUTWM goes up tomorrow on AO3 and I’m feeling a lot of emotions. Tonight, I wrote most of the first new chapter of the novel tonight, and it’s 2027 words long and counting.
Guys, I really want this novel to happen.
Also, DID YOU SEE THAT THE US SENT A ROCKET UP TO THE MOON WITH PEOPLE ON IT TONIGHT?!! IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS LAUNCH FOR WEEKS, AND IT FINALLY HAPPENED!!
Okay, it’s late. I need to go to bed.
Hot take: celebrities don’t owe us updates about their relationship status. People are living in a parasocial bubble. Please get off the internet, go touch some grass for several hours, and read a book from the library.
I finished writing Rolling Up the Welcome Mat. I'm feeling a lot of things, but my heart is really happy. If you haven't followed my author Instagram yet, go check it out! I put up my first post today! @notthat_alexcooper
I am strongly anti-AI when it comes to writing, but I am open to experimenting with it as a tool for suggestions and to improve writing.
I ran all four works up to this point through an AI chatbot for feedback tonight as I start thinking about and planning out the novel, and OH MY GOODNESS. The analysis it gave was so impressive, it brought up themes I didn’t even realize I was writing about. And it said the manuscript could be 350-380 pages long?!? WHAT!!!
This will require so much work despite the fact that the bulk of the story is written. I have scenes I need to rewrite, names to change, scenes I need to write to add to the story… I know I need to finish RUTWM but I’m so excited about doing the work for the novel!
@ilovefreyaskyeeee the application/app ProWritingAid also has a story feedback tool that’s in early testing. It’s free and you answer a bunch of questions about your work and it will give feedback and suggestions of where to improve.
