Last chapter of RUTWM goes up tomorrow on AO3 and I’m feeling a lot of emotions. Tonight, I wrote most of the first new chapter of the novel tonight, and it’s 2027 words long and counting.
Guys, I really want this novel to happen.
Also, DID YOU SEE THAT THE US SENT A ROCKET UP TO THE MOON WITH PEOPLE ON IT TONIGHT?!! IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS LAUNCH FOR WEEKS, AND IT FINALLY HAPPENED!!
Okay, it’s late. I need to go to bed.

Hot take: celebrities don’t owe us updates about their relationship status. People are living in a parasocial bubble. Please get off the internet, go touch some grass for several hours, and read a book from the library.

@acooper97 no they don’t but then again they or someone they know are the ones who said something to make people put rumors into the world

I finished writing Rolling Up the Welcome Mat. I'm feeling a lot of things, but my heart is really happy. If you haven't followed my author Instagram yet, go check it out! I put up my first post today! @notthat_alexcooper

I am strongly anti-AI when it comes to writing, but I am open to experimenting with it as a tool for suggestions and to improve writing.
I ran all four works up to this point through an AI chatbot for feedback tonight as I start thinking about and planning out the novel, and OH MY GOODNESS. The analysis it gave was so impressive, it brought up themes I didn’t even realize I was writing about. And it said the manuscript could be 350-380 pages long?!? WHAT!!!
This will require so much work despite the fact that the bulk of the story is written. I have scenes I need to rewrite, names to change, scenes I need to write to add to the story… I know I need to finish RUTWM but I’m so excited about doing the work for the novel!

@ilovefreyaskyeeee the application/app ProWritingAid also has a story feedback tool that’s in early testing. It’s free and you answer a bunch of questions about your work and it will give feedback and suggestions of where to improve.

@ilovefreyaskyeeee I use Claude. The feedback it provided was very detailed and helped me outline the novel based upon the story

I made an author Instagram account to share the journey of turning my little universe into a novel! @notthat_alexcooper if you want to follow!

Not me thinking about book 2 of the novel I may be writing when I’ve barely started writing the first book.
(Also, why the heck does Wattpad not like emojis on posts?!?)

@ilovefreyaskyeeee this is not creatively healthy for me while working a full time job.

The crazy thing about being an adult is that I really WANT to spend my Sunday writing, daydreaming about the novel I may write, and doing diamond art, except I have to do WORK and write lesson plans for my students because I didn’t do it during the week. It’s the week before spring break. My students aren’t gonna get much done anyway.

@Skyelight222 wait until you get to post college grad life. At least with college, you’re still slightly insulated from the rest of the world.

Someone left a comment on one of the recent chapters I posted of Rolling Up the Welcome Mat on AO3 saying I should publish a book.
Is now a good time to announce that I’m seriously considering turning the Just Can’t Fake It universe into a romance novel?
acooper97
@ramadloves well I certainly hope so! Hope you get a chance to read the universe soon!

I just wanna say I really really enjoyed your new chapter of RUTWM! It was so good! I love seeing Crystal's bond grow with the Barton's! Also if you were to turn Can't Fake It into a novel I would seriously buy all the copies! You are so talented and my favorite author! I check every minute on Thursday for a new chapter!
