@AmeilaArrow thanks so much! The best advice I can give you is too keep on writing. For suspense, you can do multiple things within the story. For this story I am using mostly action and backstory to build up, and including a mystery about roses life that builds in every chapter. It also helps to add cliffhangers at the end of chapters. And secondly, don’t get discouraged writing and don’t ever compare your piece to someone else’s! Everyone’s story is different and needs to be told in different ways. It can be hard writing when you don’t have an audience, but it helps to think that a time least one person is out there, enjoying your book and connecting to your characters. And if you feel like you have to keep dragging on a book and your not excited to write it anymore, it will definitely show that in your writing, so you can also just start a fresh piece!
