Hi! You were asking about the Suez Canal. Built by the French and finished in 1869. A waterway for ships which joined the Mediterranean and the Red Sea. It thus avoided the dangerous journey round the Cape of Good Hope and cut costs and journey time to Asia. Awesome piece of engineering. I hope you are enjoying Storm and Silence as much as I am.
