Hey I just wanted to say I hope you had a wonderful Christmas
@starsandspells thanks Liz, I hope you did too <3 it was wonderful and exhausting and i'm also moving house at the moment, so i am very tired and occupied but its good :)
hello!! update!! New Join the Dance chapter, and I’ll be reading Waiting for Sunrise, etc. in the rest of this week :)
dear tbob fandom, if i’m a little absent for the next month or so, it’s because i’m trying to get my act together as I haven’t been feeling great lately. luckily for you, it means I’m going to try to write that elusive story called Join the Dance by the first week in October - so I’m not entirely dead, I’m just working hard - and convalescing - instead of commenting on your wonderful fics or message boards. I will return to you, though, so never fear. xoxo
not liz carrying the rafe x kate ship on her back all on her own like atlas but in a happy way i’m sure
i’m reading ‘the last magician’ and it’s interesting especially the new york content like i like a bit of history and geography in my fantasy lol
@starsandspells yeah he is interesting with his eyepatch and *sad backstory* and its cool how he’s a bit older than the other ones like a older kaz brekker and also i like his right hand man Nibsy a lot
@adranysa yay! I’m so glad you’re enjoying it! Esta and Harte are such interesting protagonists and the gang is so fascinating. (Their leader, Dolph, is my favorite character in the book tbh)
@starsandspells i know i took your recommendation and it is my genre for sure (magic, thieves, NYC c. 1900) . I am liking it so far! I like the Esta and Harte dynamic and the gang characters!
poems i think about regularly because liz made a list and made me think about them - the night dances by sylvia plath - wild geese by mary oliver - hammond b3 organ cistern by gabrielle calvocoressi - the voice of god by mary karr - the patience of ordinary things by pat schneider - night walk by franz wright - the waste land by t.s. eliot - what resembles the grave but isn't by anne boyer - to the young who want to die by gwendolyn brooks - sorrow is not my name by ross gay after gwendolyn brooks - let this darkness be a bell tower by rainer maria rilke - the love song of j alfred prufrock by t.s eliot - in the park by gwen harwood - for example by mary oliver - snowdrops by louise gluck - and what good will your vanity be when the rapture comes by hanif abdurraqib - the thing is by ellen bass - this is just to say by william carlos williams - a drink of water by jeffrey harrison - sheep in fog by sylvia plath - like you by roque dalton and of course - having a coke with you by frank o'hara
i’m on break :DDDD i’m on break :DDDD
@adranysa yay! i apologize in advance for all the bothering you with my nonsense i will inevitably end up doing
