An imagined conversation between you and me--



*knock-knock*



"Oh, heyo!" I exclaim. "Thanks for bothering to pay me a visit here! Do come in."

You follow me to my living room and sit down.



"Now, I want to treat you to some really exotic and scrumptious snacks," I say.



"Uh-hmm, what's that?" you ask, inquisitively.



"Stories!" I yell.

Your expression changes from one of eagerness to disappointment.



"What nonsense," you blurt. "Sorry for being so point-blank but I was honestly expecting something better. I have read stories aplenty."



"Most have, so no biggie," I retort. "But have you read good ones?"



"'Course!" you counter.



"Even the ones which keep you hooked to your seat - until the very end?" I inquire.



"I - uh -" you struggle to frame an answer. Your confidence starts to wane.



"Yes," I say, nodding and smiling inwardly. "That's the main course which I will offer you here. Eat it all up and also tell me how they taste."
