So I've been thinking...
You know how for literature we analyze a text? So I was wondering... do you think the writers themselves include all those symbols and stuff?? Or do they just write with a few themes and symbols and the rest we just assume symbolizes something?
Like for example the colour red... I've learnt that red symbolizes danger and sexuality but that doesn't mean every red object in a story symbolizes that right? So sometimes when my teacher points out that something is red and tells us it's significant, I can't help but wonder whether the writer actually intended the said object to have a deeper meaning... or are we just looking into it too much 0_0
Sorry to bother you guys with my random thoughts lol.
Anyway hope you have a good day/ night ^_^

@aerie16 Also, you also write, right? XD so maybe you can ask yourself, did you really put everything in your writings with an intention for it to symbolize something?

@aerie16 I think there are cases where symbolism is obvious, like we can all agree that that particular thing in the literaty work symbolizes this or that. But I think there are also times where the symbolism varies per person because some things project different meanings, and stirs different emotions, to different people. And you having to connect with that certain part/thing in the work is your individual experience of it.
