UPDATE: im gonna continue writing HARD TO LOVE but I may unpublish it bc, no.1, i feel it's too generic and, no. 2, I have some more ideas that I feel will be more fun and interesting to read.
I swear one of my new year's resolutions rn is to get my act together writing-wise in 2025.
just when I thought 2024 k-pop couldn't get any worse, KG announces she's leaving JYPE and filing a lawsuit for abuse the members have had to endure (one of the members even attempted su!c!de and some of them have gained eating disorders)
bro, im so annoyed and disgusted rn, but I'm glad KG's suing JYPE and that she's leaving. it's defo better for ALL the members to just leave atp. like, JYPE, how do you come back from that?
(also i know vcha isn't k-pop but they kinda align with the standards met IN k-pop and they are under a k-pop ent.)
@aesnabii ah, well, honestly i don’t really think it’s dramatic? it makes sense to me, at least. i basically try to do the same seeing as i don’t really need the excess stuff - while that’s not always the case, i totally understand lol
@neverlnd-02 fr, I don't wanna be dramatic bc I know a lot of tragic stuff has happened over the years of k-pop but I'm kinda considering just blocking out all the social stuff and communities and focusing on my ults, their music and their content but ik that's kinda impossible

not ppl already running their mouths abt izna's debut song after they literally debuted two days ago. I kinda understand ppl not liking the song bc it's defo very different from the trailer, but the real thing I'm annoyed abt is ppl complaining abt koko and, especially, jeemin. I understand that the line distribution was defo unfair and jungeun, mai, saebi and sarang should've got more lines. but, everybody's complaining that wakeone's pushing jeemin and koko a little more than the others and that's where I'm slightly annoyed. if somebody like sarang (no hate to her, jst her solo stans) was getting the attention from wakeone, everybody would be super happy and say things like "finally, she's getting the spotlight she deserves." but when koko and jeemin DO THEIR JOBS and do it WELL, everybody suddenly has a problem. and, tbh, it's not even koko who ppl are talking abt the most, it's jeemin. it's literally been like this ever since iland2. everybody talks about jeemin as if everything's been handed to her on a silver platter and they find every opportunity to downgrade her achievements. i am a jeemin bias, but none of what I'm saying genuinely has anything to do with her being my bias - I mean it. im getting super annoyed bc every other minute, ppl are dragging jeemin, saying she's not this and she's not that and I'm tired of it. I've been hearing it ever since iland2, for goodness sake. (this was WAY longer than intended - I'm just super heated rn bc some ppl are getting on my nerves)
AHHH, IZNA FINALLY DEBUTEDD. their new mini album is genuinely so good - I feel like it's so diverse - and DON'T EVEN GET ME STARTED ON THE 'IZNA' M/V. this was koko, jeemin and jiyoon's era for sure (honourable mention: jungeun). I feel like this is one of the few most adequate 5th gen gg debut songs we've had so far (along with shh) and I'm not just saying that bc I'm a naya. I beg you, even if you're not a naya, PLS CHECK THE M/V OUT. you won't regret it.

i hate MAMA so much. ENHYPEN literally deserved the Daesang. they've been through sm bc of their stupid company BE:LIFT and, yet, this is how they're repaid? I know for a fact I could've done more to help them but MAMA must've rigged the votes or smth bc ENHYPEN were literally first in votes on the last day?? and they literally changed the winning process as well for no exact reason. I'm so annoyed rn.

i don’t rlly know that much about enhypen aside from maybe a few songs but i feel so bad for them from what i’ve heard

@neverlnd-02 i literally only kept track on mama this year to vote for enhypen and watch some of the performances. but, I guess there's no point in genuinely voting if mama's jst gonna rig everything. it's so annoying as well bc I'm not saying the winners of the awards didn't deserve it but enhypen were OVERWORKED this year. also, can i jst say how bad the line-up was this year? so, mama, you can get a bigbang reunion AND performance but not an itzy, skz, kiof, twice, kep1er, le sserafim or fromis_9 performance? pathetic.
