if you were the one in charge of the avatar movies, what would you do with spider and his relationships he has with the others in the movies?

@aethra- idk, I would make him go with Quaritch because he seems to be the only person Spider could change. And I feel bad for him because I understand why people hate Quaritch, and I know it's not the same, but Jake only warned the Omatikaya after he mated with Neytiri (if I remember correctly) when he had enough time before that, and I feel people conveniently forget about that in the movie

Do you think if lo'ak saw the future and saw neteyam die when they were saving spider, Do you think he will still save him? Because to me, kiri and lo'ak always want him that they would risk everyone else just so that spider doesn't leave them

@Sserenity006 | definitely not :) when quaritch brought him, tuk and tsireya onto the ship in atwow, he could see that spider was okay! If he knew what would happen if he went to save him, I doubt he would have done so :)

In Avatar 3, do you think it was hypocritical that Eywa answered Kiri when saving Spider in the forest, but didn't answer the Mangkwan when they were praying for her to save them?

@Sserenity006 | oh yes i have seen that fic ! I don’t have much time to read nowadays but it’s definitely on my reading list <33 And yes in the later films they have definitely made eywa seem all powerful, with Kiri having these powers and all ! But in the first film they believe her to only protect the balance, and that’s what neytiri told jake when he was asking for her help before the battle of ayram alusing

@aethra- and I don't know if you take book recommendations, but you should check out Burning Man by Anna_xpl on this site. I feel they did a good job at fleshing the Mangkwan out, something I wished they had done in the movie

@aethra- I think hypocritical isn't the word, but I felt like it fit what I was trying to say. When Varang asked how Spider could breathe their air, Kiri said it was 'the will of Eywa'. And I know that the Mangkwan were a little dumb for thinking Eywa could stop a volcanic eruption, but come on! The Navi make it seem like Eywa is basically a god and will answer them to help them out of trouble (that's what it seemed like to me when watching the films)

@Sserenity006 I’m not part of the conversation but I also think Spider growing a kuru was unnecessary, and weird. Him being able to breathe was easier to believe, but randomly growing a kuru was really strange. And the lack of awareness of the kinds made me think they were kinda dumb. Him being able to exist in pandora is gonna be a enormous pain in the ass in the next movies.

@tidalwhispers | I LOVE hearing people’s thoughts on the films omg ! I think the fact that spider can now even breathe on Pandora cheapens the franchise a lot. Him having a kuru was just really weird idk I could not care less about him or this story line and it upsets me that he is now such a big part of the film

Sorry, I know i’m not apart of this conversation but i just wanted to ask what your guys’ opinions are on the fact that Spider grew á Kuru? To be honest, i think it was a little unnecessary, sure it was a shocking thing thst reallt novody couldve predicted, but it’s also kinda of useless? I mean mahbe in the next one we’ll see what challenges it brings since Spider isn’t actually Na’vi, i feel like when they joined their Queues to the spirit tree, it was a bit of a shame to see Spider judt perfectly fine after. I thought since he wasn’t á Na’vi he would’ve had a bad reaction to it? Just want to know your guys’ 2 cents on it too!
