alicia took a hesitant step inside, yellow converse scuffing against the vinyl flooring. maybe this had been a mistake. it would surely cause a disagreement with finn later on, and she truly didn't intend to cause any harm to their tentative new relationship. but there was something about jesse. besides - it wouldn't hurt to try to gain some closure, would it? she plastered a small smile on her lips, hoping it didn't display her frazzled nerves. "you look pretty comfortable for a brand new show choir director. but i guess you're used to bossing people around."

            jesse was in the middle of delegating orders to the new vocal adrenaline lackeys that had been swarmed in. he was in his element it seemed. the teens seemed to be afraid of him, all except for karissa stark, who knew him well enough to know that he really meant no harm. well, kind of. when he had stopped his lecture, the students took off to go and change, while jesse went to look at his phone. when he heard the knocking at the door, he looked up, eyebrows furrowing. he wasn't expecting anyone, but he called out to alicia anyway. "come on in, it's open!"
