Hi A!!!! I hope ur first month of the new year is going good:) I just found out some DC news, and I wanted to share if u didn't know-apparently, Dick has a half sister! Like, she was just introduced two or three years ago, and I JUST found out about her. P.S I already hate her. She's his half sister, half Grayson on his dad's side, half zucco on her mom's side. WHICH TOTALLY RUINS HIS ORIGIN STORY! It takes the spontaneous moment of tragedy away and gives tony zucco a motive to kill his parents rather than that the circus just didn't pay him.
Sigh. When will DC realize the things we really want? :( it's weird, I looked up if she was well received,, and the search was like"ofc she was, both by critics and fans!". I went to several online pages while researching her, and 95% of the ppl said she was bland, ruined his origin, was a needless character, and just followed the 'long lost sibling's cliche. That she could literally NOT be related and have the same impact on his future. Plus, she's mayor of Bludhaven, which gives him a friend in political power, which kinda ruins the feel of him finding a way out of things with his smarts rather than the fat his family is powerful politically.
Anyway, I wasn't sure if you knew, but the news was so bad for me, I honestly cried a little XD granted, I was tired and it almost nine at night. I just feel like they're destroying one of, if not THE best, character in the DCU with a dumb cliche sure they got nothing else.
I mean, he's not the one and only Grayson anymore......:(

Well, he's still the bad guy, but it gives him a motive to want to kill Dick's family, since his dad got with Zucco's wife after she ran away(zucco was abusive). She met John Grayson before he got with Mary Grayson, apparently just long to get her pregnant. She left the circus after to tony threatened to kill John, and passed her pregnancy off as Tony's when she gave birth to "Melinda", Dick's older sister. John didn't know, and I guess tony didn't know it wasn't his.
Basically, it IS a good story. I'll give them that. But it weakens Dick's story just to make room for a new character that almost no one likes. Plus, like I said, she doesn't add anything. If she was a great, awesome character who does something, I'd be all for it. But she isn't, and she doesn't, so I'm not.

Growing up Christian, I didn't even know what all that was until I was, like, eleven or twelve i think. Now that we're Judeo-Christian, I had a harder time with things like that. Imma be honest, I went through a phase were I couldn't stand it (it's against my religion, but it's also more than that). But I met an online friend who was a lesbian, and she was the sweetest person ever. I even told her she helped me realize that just cause ur part of the community doesn't mean ur the pushy, rude people u see in vids on the internet. I still don't agree with it, n I hate when they get to lil kids about it, but I'm super glad to be maturing n realizing that what u do doesn't define ur personality. (P.s, I'll admit, I actually have a crush on one guy who works at my step Dad's place of work. He's nineteen, and totally gorgeous, but ofc he's gay. Like, y r all the cute ones like that:(
Anyway, ty again for answering. I also really see u as a friend, but I hate to assume things n make it awkward

@CGVWrites I understand! I’m absurdly socially awkward irl. Also, I kinda see you as a virtual buddy though I don’t really like labels either For the question, it really depends on the context. I don’t mind bisexuals at all, but if it’s like a guy talking in a high pitched voice or a trans I do get a bit uncomfortable. I also don’t mind gay couples in book content 98% of the time, but irl I confess to feeling slightly uncomfortable and awkward. It also depends on the ship I’m reading. Example A—I don’t like Birdflash. Why? Because they are best friends and see each other as brothers. Some fans don’t seem to appreciate a good friendship anymore. But as long as you’re happy and don’t push it on me I’m good. I do feel like I could get more comfortable around lgbt stuff if I got to know them better

My knew favorite thing in my Marvel AU is my two ocs relationship. (No I don’t have a book probably never will. Ask questions about them if ya like, moving on) So basically he tries to flirt with her and she responds with insults and acts of violence, she lowkey likes it when he flirts with her though.
