@ahoytrps .ᐟ.ᐟ                [   his words land heavier than yelling ever could. he wasn’t storming off,,    he wasn’t getting physical. steve was hurt. and worse? he’s trying to understand. jonathan swallows hard. his eyes drop to the floor,,       shoulders curling in on themselves like he’s bracing for impact. he takes a breath..       then another,,    like he’s forcing himself to stay in the moment instead of disappearing.  ]         ..i know. i  wasn’t  trying to excuse  it. i..     i  said it  because i  felt /    small /. and scared. and..      instead  of just  saying  that,,       i  went  for something  that  would  hurt. 

@freakisms               jealous.      *  he'd  echo  the   words  as  though  that  would  help  him  understand.    it   didn't   make  sense  still.  but  he  was  nodding  as  though  he  understood.   *    right.    i  get  jealous  too,   jonathan.  but  i  dont    talk  to  you  like   that.

[   he was happy to hear that he was forgiven so readily. of course he was. but he couldn’t help but look at steve in shock once the words fell from his mouth. jonathan’s eyes narrow and his lips part in response,,    until  those next words came from steve. now all that was visible on his face was pure guilt. he almost hated himself for hurting steve like this. especially when he cared about him so much.  ]         ..i don’t   either.  not completely.  i  guess i was  just..     jealous.

@freakisms         you're  just  letting me  get  a pity  pick.  i  picked  last   week.       *  he'd  take  jonathan's  hand,  a  snort  of  laughter  leaving him.   it  came  out  slightly  wet.   as  though  he  was  forcing  even  the  laugh.    *    even  if  i  pick   fast  times   again?      

@ahoytrps .ᐟ.ᐟ                   [   it broke his heart a little to see how clearly upset the other was,,       especially to see him wiping the tears from his face. like a reflex. like he was /   used / to being forced to be strong,,       to be  self-sufficient. he knew it all too well. yet a small grin began to spread at the other’s suggestion. this earns a slight nod from him,,     before one of his hands raised for steve to take.  ]         yeah.  we can. your  pick.     ..okay?
