I wonder if romance is crucial for a story? With single protagonist / MC we definitely can showcase independence and competency, but we iaolate the character with monologue.. Tbat the character felt rather flat.
          	
          	But with love interest, we can see their interactions and dynamic.
          	
          	Or maybe deutergonist, like family and friends can replace romance. Would it be half as engaging?
          	
          	Wattpad was primarily dominated by romqnce genre..
          	
          	Hm.
          	
          	The dilemma.

@ainasipenulis3108 saya setuju dengan awak. Romance can be tricky, and you're right to be careful with it. I like how thoughtful you're approaching the story. Just let it grow naturally. If the romance fits, it'll find its place. If not, that okay too. Just trust your process, you'll figure out what works best for your story.

          	  I've always wonder how to approach romance without overtaking the plot -
          	  
          	  Its like a double edge sword
          	  
          	  A badly written romance will ruin the immersion, ruining the story altogether 
          	  
          	  A decent romance would intergrate itself, gradually adding substance to the plot
          	  
          	  I've create drafts , but then- I realise the scene might change the genre entirely
          	  
          	  Maybe I can leverage it as a stake, something to motivate, loss/gain
          	  
          	  Maybe I can use it as a transactional function - to pry for, to use against
          	  
          	  On one hand, a decent romance market the story, but on another, a badly written romance also butcher the story 
          	  
          	  Maybe I'd need to experiment more on the writing until the end to really answer... How crucial is the arc? Do i keep it? Or do i remove that romance sideplot?
          	  
          	  I havent really grasp what sort of format to write still

@ainasipenulis3108 i think romamce is nice, but not really necessary. A story can still engaging with strong character. Maybe interaction can come come from friends, family or even enemies. But yeah saya setuju wattpad was dominated by romance genre.
