Hi, I'm Skip, @johncannieskipper on instagram. I write fantasy stories about memory, belonging, old gods, broken roads, found family, and the strange little moments where ordinary people discover they were part of something ancient all along.

My main world is Tales of Aethros, a growing fantasy setting centered on The Hearth Between Paths: a refuge hidden between worlds, where lost travelers, forgotten histories, and damaged pieces of reality are gathered back into connection. My stories often follow characters who are not chosen because they are perfect, but because they keep showing up with a lantern, a question, a stubborn heart, and the belief that no one should have to face tomorrow alone.

My writing blends cozy fantasy, mythic mystery, spiritual wonder, and tabletop adventure energy. I love stories with ancient ruins, living maps, strange doors, sacred flames, family records, bees, folklore, and characters who slowly realize that kindness can be a kind of power. I am especially drawn to the idea that every person has a story worth preserving, and that even the smallest act of remembrance can hold a world together.
