I am a lifelong creative explorer. I began making jewelry and working with metals as a teenager, delved into calligraphy at eleven and played with crayons, paper and tape as a toddler. As for my earliest accomplishments, my first word was pencil and I'm well known for my sculpture in layers of paper and tape wrapped around 'returnable' glass pop bottles. My mother as the curator of these works of art can tell of the great joy these brought into her life when she went to collect the bottles to return to the grocery.

I considered myself an artist as a child and a designer by the time I hit university. It's only recently I realized, I'm mostly a storyteller. It's both creating a picture with words and an impression with images. I am both an artist and a writer.
