---- When Celeste started puberty and started to develop maturely, it was a painful reminder that Renata was not actually Renato. It was a harsh truth, Celeste's mother decided to take her own life via drowning herself. However, she was caught by Renata, whom she redirected her anger to and tried downing her. Her mind became suddenly clear and, as quickly, saved Renata. The incident is a secret between Celeste and her mother, Celeste never told what occurred due to her love of her mother. Deeply ashamed of herself, Celeste's mother left their home on a random day, only taking the birth certificates of her children which Celeste's father had to make a new ones where he removed Mana's surname from the certificate and officially separated from her. ---- Celeste repressed most of her memories of her mother as she is afraid of her even after she is gone. Yet she loves her mother. She views her mother as a God, as people are taught to love yet fear God, Celeste thinks of her mother the same way. ---- Celeste's mother post SBR resides at a mental institution. She thinks of her daughters fondly, and her mind has become clearer, but she remains distant, knowing she is posed as a threat to her daughters. Rather than ruin their peace, she remains away where she finds comfort in her two doll. Even Celeste dies, she is not aware of her youngest daughters death as she has no contact with them. She remains in bliss, thinking Celeste is alive. (2/3)

TW. Infant death, suicide attempt, murder attempt, psychosis, mental abuse BIRTH MOTHER: Mana Lafourcade ---- Their relationship is complicated. Somewhat mentally stable after birth, Celeste's mother really was happy that her twins were born healthy and having no problems with them. Giving their mother the honor of naming their children as Celeste's father chose the name of their oldest, Celeste's mother decided to wait and properly think of names she thought would suit them as a new tradition they brought into their families. On Christmas night of 1868, Celeste's mother named her twins, Renato Miguel Dúrcal Lafourcade and Anastasia Irene Dúrcal Lafourcade, on their birth certificate On the morning of December 26, 1868, Renato was found unresponsive and was pronounced as dead, his death cause remained a mystery. Whatever stability her mother had left shattered, and she erased Celeste's original name using a necronym of Celeste's twin brother, naming her Renata Dúrcal Lafourcade. ----Throughout Celeste's childhood, Celeste's mother was not physically abusive but more mentally abusive as she suffered from her delusions despite the treatment they tried giving her, but she denied it anyway. She had raised Celeste as a boy to give her son, who never it made past a few days, life through Celeste. Celeste often imagines herself as a doll, an object used to play pretend and dress up to everyone's desire. In an odd sense, it brought comfort as Celeste felt her mother loved her despite not being mentally stable. (1/3)
