Hi everyone
How are you? It’s been so long since we met on the scribbled side of thoughts and paper.
Writing is a powerful world—it consumes you. It carries you through emotions of self-discovery, through extreme hollowness, and through extreme fulfillment. It’s more than recognition and appreciation. It’s so much, much, much more than everything fancy and subjective.
Writing has healed me—in times when I didn’t even know I needed healing. But now, when I look back, I realize it did. It has been my companion. My friend. My therapy. My pillow for thoughts.
If not for books, I think I might have grown up with a very shallow version of myself. I won’t say I’m the best version of me now—no, I’m not. I’m as flawed as we all are. I still have anger issues. I still have insecurities. I still carry unfulfilled dreams. I still want to excel at everything I do. And yes, I still can’t manage my time.
And yet—I believe I am a better version of myself.
And yet—I hope I will become better.
Reading itself is a universe of its own. It takes you places. It lets you live lives you’ll never live, moments you’ll never have, heartbreaks you wouldn’t survive, love you can only hope for, pain you know is insufferable.
Reading is a blessing.
It's gaining.
It's losing.
It is so much more than words. It’s an emotion. And it’s the only way to live multiple lives as if they were your own.
So yes—those who read are powerful. You are powerful. ✨
And now... community voting has started for Wattys 2025!
It runs from 22 September to 28 September. All you have to do is open your favourite book, pick any chapter, and cast your vote.
Between the Blue isn’t just mine—it belongs to each one of you who have read it and felt it.
I won’t just tell you to vote for Between the Blue. Vote for any book you’ve loved, any story you’ve lived.
Because it matters.
To every author who has lived it too.
So please vote—I can only request.
Hiral and Riddhan hope for it.
Love,
Akanksha ✨
