Hello, and welcome to Concinnity Circle's Writer's Circle Awards. Well that sure is a mouthful. My name is Alexander and I will be your judge of the Historical Fiction entries. The preliminary round officially starts tomorrow and lasts till the tenth of February, so I'll update you regularly, either through my profile, or yours. As I'm not too fond of the preliminary round's idea of basically judging a book by it's cover, quite literally, I don't expect throwing anyone out just yet. It'd have to be a big oopsie to make me do that, one that I myself am not able to fathom at the moment. [Or that I'd find out you don't have ten chapters as the rules say.] I want to get a close look on all of your books and give every one the same chance, so I think I'll wait with the eliminations until the second, or the forth round. Since there is just twelve entries, I don't think it should be a big problem.

I'll try to judge your books as objectively as I can and even though I don't know any of you personally, that won't make it an easy task, but one I'm completely willing to take upon myself.

I'll judge you on grammar {which is not going to play that much of a role to be honest, but it's still important}, the overall feeling I get from the story, characters, ect. And, most importantly, how well I think your book would do in the open market.

Sorry for the rant and don't worry, everything will be fine. I'm going to take a look at all of your books now and I'll keep you all posted.

          	Have a nice day/evening. :-D
