Lolita is a movie (was a book)
There was this man (Humbert) who moved to america to become a teacher. He was quite old maybe like in his 30s or 40s but he was very attractive. At first he didn't want to stay because of how the place he was supposed to stay at looked. But then he saw this girl (Dolores haze whom he later called Lolita) in the backyard and he fell in love with her. Now Dolores was the daughter of single parent, Charlotte Haze, and Charlotte had fallen in love with Humbert and allowed him to stay if he would marry her. So humbert got married to her just to stay with Dolores. He kept a journal with his fantasies and feelings towards Dolores and one day Charlotte found it, and she got so angry with him that while she was crossing the road she got hit by a car and died.
Long story short
It was basically the story of how Humbert used Lolita for love and sex, in return he gave her money etc. He was obsessed with her and then one day she got kidnapped. But she escaped from the man who took her and stayed with a boy. The boy got her pregnant and she needed money for the baby she was about to have so she write to Humbert who was in hell looking for her. He came and found her, gave her the money but begged her to come back with him. Of course she didn't, So Humbert left broken hearted and killed the man who kidnapped her, then he got put in jail where he died. As for Dolores she died when her child was born.
