Hello, wonderful people who are still following me despite my woeful lack of activity. I thought I would let you all know what's happening, just in case anybody out there is still listening. ;)

TAHITB and Coald are both unlikely to be continued. Coald because it has no actual plot and TAHITB because my editor hates my main character (not in a good way) and I really like my editor, so... They're also both projects that started on a whim with little planning, and planning is something I've always lacked in my writing and I'm trying to fix that.

As a result, here's what I AM writing. Well Bred, my NaNoWriMo story from last November (that I only made it 30,000 words into, but at least I tried) will be finished this July during Camp NaNoWriMo. This is because I want to actually wrap this story up, thrown together as it is, before thoroughly planning another attempt at NaNoWriMo this year.

So if you're interested in reading something that will soon be finished, Well Bred is a good bet. There are a number of people who will be very displeased if I don't finish it this July, so I refuse to let them (or you all) down.

And if you like superheroes, stay tuned for my NaNoWriMo project for November 2018.

Thank you all so much for following me. I haven't the foggiest why you do, but it means oodles to me.

Sorry for the LONG bout of laziness. Things got busy, and then when they weren't so busy, I wasn't quite ready to make them busy all over again. But I am back on schedule, for the summer at least. Expect at least one update a week for each story, sometimes more if inspiration strikes me (so long as it doesn't knock me unconscious).

Thank you for adding Avernus to your reading list!! I hope you like it when you start it.

Speaking four languages is soooo cool! I'm obsessed with other languages and cultures :D. I'm currently learning French and Spanish (French for 8 years, but I'm nowhere NEAR fluent and Spanish for 4), and Arabic and Sinhalese are languages from my background (ie. where I've lived/where I'm from). So yeah, total linguaphile.

What are the four languages you've learnt? Are you fluent? Ack! It's so cool that you know that many and that you've traveled around so much. That's literally my life--I've never lived in one place for more than four year cuz my family loves to travel :D

Also I can't help but comment on this: dromedaries are one of the two types of camels, actually--the other being the Bactrian (two-humped). Fun fact--I've actually ridden more camels than horses (or any other creature, really)! xD

          Nice to meet you! :)

Well, I am really looking forward to finding out what happens next in Avernus. So far you've set up a very intriguing premise!

I'll pass the blame for the camel thing on to my brother, who was very smug when he told me that they were called dromedaries during our time in Morocco. At the same time, it's really my fault for taking him at his word. He has a tendency to epically fail at fact-checking. =D

You sound like an incredibly awesome person. I HAVE traveled a lot, but only for a short while in each place. I'm originally a European country girl though, so I do have some perspective on what you're talking about.

You have a much cooler language background than me. I speak Romanian, English, and French fluently (though my French is only fluent to the point of allowing for consistent conversation - any native French speaker would be able to tell it's not a language I was born into), and I'm in my third year of Japanese. That means I can say some things and can't say a lot of other things.

Overall, you definitely have several points over me. I'm in highschool though, so I have time to try to make something more of myself! Thanks for taking the time to talk to me, and keep writing! Don't waste your time with my conversation! Keep writing instead! =P

P.S. Nice to meet you too.

Hey! Thanks so much for the follow :) you sound like a super cool person. I'm real jealous that you can speak four languages because it's my goal to be able to. Can I ask which ones? I'd hazard a guess at English...

alexmachina

What, me, speak English? Nah, never! I AM technically ESL though.

Anyway, I speak English, Romanian, French, and a little bit of Japanese. At least enough to communicate with Japanese-Siri on a friend's iPod...

Hey Alexandra!

Thank you so much for adding The Runaways to your reading list! Hilarious status by the way haha. I hope you have a blast reading the book!

Hi Jenny,

Oh, don't worry, I had CHILLS reading it! I'm sure you've heard it before, but your writing style is gorgeous! And I'm not just saying that because I don't know better, in fact I'm a little bit of a Lit. geek, so, truly, you write amazingly.
You also have a shocking penchant for killing characters off left and right. Clearly we share opinions there, because I'm also fond of killing off characters my friends have developed an attachment toward. Suffice it to say they get a little annoyed with me at times. =P

Oh, and thanks for the comment on the status. It's true though. That grammar mistake - you're versus your - drives me and my friend (who also happens to play editor for me most of the time) totally crazy.

Hello, Alex! Welcome to Wattpad and thanks so much for adding Firebird to your reading list! I hope you enjoy reading it and that you tell me what you think!

I see that you've also added Paladin and Avernus to your list- two amazing stories by very talented authors! Nice taste :)

Oh- and your status made my day. I laughed a lot.

alexmachina

Can you guess where I found out about Firebird and Avernus? =D
So far I'm really enjoying Firebird, can't wait for more! (Actually, our two stories share a common "fire power" theme, though mine is nowhere near as developed as yours at this point. Interesting, isn't it?)
