          I bring news!
          
          My little side project, WISH UPON A PHONE, just won its very first award  My fantasy rom-com baby took first place in the Best Romantic Love category at the OT7 Mini Valentine Awards, hosted by the lovely @LAJoyner. I’m ridiculously happy and very grateful!
          
          Also! I have finally fulfilled part of my own awards-host duties. The certificates for the Ink Games winners are ready ✨

          Congratulations again on your historic win in the first season of the Ink Games! And thank you for being patient with me while I distribute the rest of your prizes—I promise I’m getting there.
          
          And to everyone asking about a Hot-Hearted update—my sweet, persistent souls—I’m sorry for making you wait. Now that I’m back at work (but thankfully no longer dying of cough and fever), I’ll be using my next days off to dive back into the draft.
          
          Thank you for sticking around while I fought work avalanches, viruses, and airport security suspicions. I’ve missed you more than you know <3

1/2 Remember me? Your slightly wayward writer, part-time awards host, full-time Jungkook simp—Alex.
          
          I’ve been mostly MIA lately, and I promise I have reasons.
          
          Reason #1: work.
          
          Imagine standing peacefully when suddenly an avalanche starts. And then another. And then another. That was my pre–Lunar New Year life. I was buried. Repeatedly.
          
          And I’m expecting fresh work avalanches in about a week. Send help.
          
          Reason #2: health. Or rather… the dramatic lack of it.
          
          I was so sick for weeks it genuinely felt like I’d survived a minor plague. At one point I had to go to the hospital. Alone. Armed only with a translator app because I live in a country where I do not speak the language. Slightly cliché. Very brave. Possibly “main character in distress.”
          
          I went through tests, scans, IV antibiotics—the whole unexpected medical side-quest.
          
          Good news: I am recovering.
          Bad news: I now have trust issues with my immune system.
          
          Reason #3: my trip to Seoul.
          
          Absolutely incredible. Freezing cold. I was still horribly sick and genuinely thought airport security might pull me aside for looking like I escaped a zombie apocalypse (though I wasn’t traveling from Busan, lol)
          
          Anyway, I survived. And it was worth it :D
