Having spent more than two decades working as a cardiac surgeon, I finally decided to slow down and pursue my age-long passion for historical fiction. Four years ago, I sat down to start writing but stopped short of page 40 as I felt that I couldn't do justice with the belief and vision in my mind. Having decreased my dedication in the OR last 3 months, I decided to serialise my work and managed to publish some chapters on Royal Road and Wattpad. This was an attempt to devote myself to regular writing. Am doing the research, writing, and editing myself without really considering the specifics of formal writing skills. Didn't consider the pros and drawbacks of writing on any particular site; Just jotting down the words as they pour out from my heart.
The title is "When the Crescent meets the Star" and the intent is to underline the suffering of women throughout the ages in every civilisation, and the sacrifices they made to protect family, honour, and indeed their very existence as humans when, in fact, they were deemed a different species. Added a mystical dimension that I believe in.
