@notnaynay I will most likely finish In Your Hands before updates for Gone Wrong continue, and I hope to finish it within the next two weeks at most. But we'll see (hopefully it's sooner, just depends on how busy I am)

Hiii so I have a question.
Do you happen to sometimes delete an entire idea from a story you're writing/wrote for any reason? Or do you think ahead of the things you wanna add to the story like events and once you're 100% you like the ideas then you start writing them? Like have you ever wrote and finished an idea then changed your mind and said nah I don't want this appearing in the book for any reason? I'm truly curious because I wanna know how writers think of the stories and when do they plan the events or does it come impulsively while writing? If it doesn't bother you I would love if you told me an event that was supposed to happen in one of your book but then you decided to not add it.

@notnaynay I know I've definitely deleted moments and 'scenes' like that before, but I'd have to try and remember them since they were deleted ideas lol. As for general planning for ideas and such, my usual process of writing starts with a very general/ main idea. And I just start... writing. Once I get the first 'chapter' down, my brain usually jumps ahead and begins showing me the rest of important moments and how it will end. There are times I go off 'script' but that usually happens in the moment of writing it? Anyway, I will have to think of specific things I've cut out. For example, in Unlikely, that story was meant to be very short and simple- nothing more than a little quest where Minsung slowly fell in love and it just... shifted after the second chapter cause my brain took off with it xD. Hopefully this all makes sense lol

Heyyy!! Soo I had this idea for another book of urs (I know there's soo many but I was reading another book and got this idea). The idea is basically with mermaids and sirens. Mermaids r basically soft hearted and rlly nice with rounded scales on their tails while sirens r known for being rude and stubborn with rlly enchanting voices and like to kill (and eat ig?) mermaids. So in this case u cud make Minho a siren with a tsundere personality and make Jisung a bright, bubbly and curious mermaid and they basically meet unexpectedly becuz Jisung decided to wander around looking for random stuff (maybe some human stuff or smth) and so they kinda get to know each other slowly (so basically slow burn ig?) and eventually fall in love and their parent don't approve of it at first and then they eventually do and all that. It's honestly not a fully developed idea or nething but ur wayy more creative than I am so maybe u cud make it into a proper idea?
Yk now that I read all that this rlly seems like it's similar to the concept of The Little Mermaid except that instead of a human and mermaid it's a siren and a mermaid but yea that's basically the idea!

@AVI27VB I like this idea! (Totally spaced on replying to this) Also totes agree with @Feriluce about breaking some tropes in a fun way. I honestly love the ideas, always keep them coming! I've been having fun with short stories lately since other books take more time and such the more ideas, the merrier! ^u^

@AVI27VB how about switching their personalities? make Minho the bright and bubbly one and Jisung the stoic cynic, for once. that would be way more interesting. and mermaids and sirens is overrated. there are so many mythical creatures you can draw inspiration from. like Selkies: underwater creatures who shed their skin and turn into a beautiful woman. if you steal their, they're basically yours. or look into Japanese mythology, or Mesopotamian, or any other niche one. be curious! explore the world! ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ
