Hey everyone, sorry I've been a little AWOL. I discovered a new hobby, and as often, it took over my life and left little room for anything else. I hope to start updating my stories soon again, but that's not why I'm here right now.
          
          I've been recently informed that there is a user by the name of "mariposamonacra" out there who has copied my story "Unbowed" and published it as their own work. There is only one chapter out right now, but the characters are the same, the backstory is the same, and even the first section of the first chapter is a word for word copy of the prologue for "Unbowed". I find this quite ridiculous, but not at all surprising, considering the epidemic of plagiarism that's currently going on in this app.
          
          I must admit a little amusement, however, considering I wrote those first few parts of the story when I was 18 and my writing had very little refinement. To think that there are people out there genuinely copying it makes me laugh a little, as I can't stop cringing when I go back and read those chapter myself. It does speak a lot to this person's writing capabilities if they've read the prologue and decided it's elite enough material for them to slap their own name on it, though. Again, I can't help but laugh, especially since - audaciously enough - they follow me too.
          
          I've reported the story for plagiarism (it's called "Desires of a York"), and if you can do so as well, I would very much appreciate it. I have yet to confirm this, but I believe that the majority of the first chapter - beyond the first section - is a word for word copy of "Edge of Desire" by @teaandcrumpets05 as well. They've taken my characters and backstories and slapped someone else's dialogue on them. The plagiarists are getting creative, I fear XD
          
          @mariposamonacra if you're reading this, shame on you. Our words aren't yours to own. Our ideas aren't yours to steal. Take our chapter down and write your own.

Hey, I just came across a story that was a copy of Unbowed. While scrolling through the white queen tag, I saw that the book is Desire of York. The person's username is mariposamonacra. I believe she was the same person who also copied Edge of Desire by teaandcrumpets05. @allmyheroes

heyy guys! i asked you a few days ago whether you'd be interested in seeing a tvd story, and the resounding answer was yes (ily for that, btw). so, i came up with an idea, wrote the first chapter, and i just posted it!
          
          the story is called "in my hour of dying", and if you're at all interested, please go show it some love! for those who're here for the historical fics, there's some anne boleyn action to be had, so not all is lost ;)
          
          anyway, regardless of whether or not you like tvd, thank you so much for your support. as always, it means the literal world to me xoxoxo
