I really like your book. And don't worry about the pacing being a tad slow at first. it just builds up the suspense and anticipation. After all in the 2005 King Kong remake, the title character isn't even in the move until the better part of the second half. waiting does 0ay off. just continue writing as you are now and you will get better and better.
