A 16 year old girl holds her 1 year old sons hand. People call her a bitch; nobody knows she was raped at age 14...
People call a lad fat. Nobody knows that his overweight is due to a severe illness...
People call an old man bad looking. Nobody knows that he was badly injured when he defended a friends life...
The person you called fat, died due to an overdose of diet pills...
The person you called ugly, takes hours in the bathroom to do their makeup, hoping that people like them after doing so...
The person you bullied, was abused enough when they were at home...
The person you made fun of for crying? Their mother is dead...
Take a second and think about the meaning of words.
Words can make you feel loved, they can make you feel welcome and they can make you feel better.
Words can give you hope that maybe, just maybe there is light at the end of the tunnel.
But words can also make you feel hated, they can make you feel alone they can tear you down.
Words can take someones last hope. They can give the last push and make you do that last step before a seemingly never-ending darkness.
So the next time you tell someone off about something that doesn't actually matter,
The next time you make somebody feel lost and broken,
The next time you bully someone,
Remember that it might be the last time you see that person.
Think about what you are doing
And maybe, just maybe, when this text actually made you think about things,
You will change your mind and help them off the ground and stop doing things to people that are so utterly wrong and horrible.
And if you, yourself, are bullied speak up for yourself.
Tell someone about what is going on and get help.
You don't have to go through this alone and you definitely shouldn't have to.
You deserve to be happy.
You deserve to be loved.
You are enough.
And if you don't have someone to talk to dm me, because I'll be here for you.
