My name's Alyssa. I am, of course, aspiring to be a writer (even if it's something that I do in my spare time) but live in a state of cynicism.
This will be my outlet for my creations.

I'm finally done being a college student, but part of being a student is writing essays. I have a wonderful friend that helps to proofread and challenge my writing-- making sure I'm being logical, that my analyses are fallacy-free, and even making sure my MLA citations are spot on (thank you for majoring in English, Nikki). The only problem is that once the paper is fine-tuned, turned in, and graded, it just sits in my computer... never to be touched again. Until now.

Now, I'm a Middle School Reading teacher for my school district. I may one day decide to also post my fiction writing here. 

I hope you all enjoy the writing. Reviews and messages are always welcome-- how are we to learn if there is no one to criticize? Heck, even a message saying "I think your writing stinks more than a pigpen" is fine by me.
