"James would like to Skype" Those 5 words flashed against my iPhone screen. My eyes went wide. Oh my god, I forgot to Skype them. Well I am in McDonalds... Should I accept? Heck yeah I am! "I need to take this." I told the 3 boys pointing to my iPhone.
But something flashed against Austin's face, hurt, but he immediately covered it up with a smile. A fake one. How could I tell these stuff? And why did that just happen with him? "Go ahead." He said.
I looked at Alex and Robert send me a smile indicating for me to take the Skype call. With a small smile back, I crawled out the playground area and back into the eating area of McDonalds. I took a seat in a near by booth and quickly accepted the Skype call.
And there appeared 5 faces that I missed so much, even though it's been a day. James, Nina, Avalon, Tori, and Ian. "LACEY!" They all shouted together while spreading out their arms as if they were hugging me.
I spread out my arms too, "NINA, JAMES, AVALON, IAN, TORI!" I shouted back.
They all giggled.
I rose an eyebrow. "Am I missing something or...?"
"It looked like you're hugging air...FOREVER ALONE!" James shouted, sending everyone into a fit of giggles.
"Oh shut it all of you, how have you all been?" I asked leaning forwards to my iPhone.
"Oh well you know, our best friend moved away to another state, so we're walking on sunshine!" Nina shouted sarcastically.
"I'm sorry...It's because this was a really god job offer my dad and, you guys know if I had the choice I would've stayed back in-"
"Lacey, chill, you don't need to apologize." Ian said sending me a reassuring smile.
"-Yeah we know you couldn't do anything about it. It's best for your dad, and your family, we're happy about that." Tori added quickly.
James, Nina, and Avalon nodded in an agreeing manner.
