          I am sorry that I did not get back on here to update. It took a while, but we are okay. I am sorry if I worried anyone by not updating our status. Also, I sincerely appreciate your kind thoughts. I hold them dear. Things were chaotic due to the inauspicious start, which is why I have been Wattpad silent. Also, as you know, I am planning my dissertation project and writing my proposal, which has taken up a lot of writing time during the last few months. Now that the semester is almost over, I can concentrate on catching up on side projects, like our story Hostage.  
          
           
          
          I want to say thank you for your ongoing support. I welcome the new followers and am terribly sorry I have been unable to interact like I want to. I hope to start back writing and uploading regularly. I miss my stories and interacting with you!

          COVID hit our household, so it will be a bit before I post again. I wrote the next chapter, but it is not proofed or revised. Plus, I want to write out the ARC to post all at once ( this arc might be two-three more chapters), so just bear with me.

          It's a new chapter! This is going to about a three-four arc within the story, so bear with the pacing please! It has also been a bit trying to get back into our world since it has been really long time. I cannot believe you all stuck around! Thank you! I apologize if the chapter is boring :), but I tried. It's necessary for what I have to set up for the next arc.

          I have missed you all dearly. Of course, I missed our boys as well. Exams are over, and I was successful in the phase. I just taught my last class this morning, so it's now time for some drama, angst, love, and other shenanigans. Just wanted to drop in to say hello and that I am back on the platform. I shall be working diligently to catch up. I hope the last few months have been kind to you all, and I look forward to all the trouble we can get into together! When the new chapter is complete, I'll drop a note. Until then, Happy Wednesday! :)

To my Hostage readers, 
          
           
          
          To everyone who is still reading, I thank you! To my early readers (you know who you are), know that I have gotten your messages about our story. I am writing this to let you all know that I do not plan to discard the story. I will disclose a little of myself to explain why it will take a bit before I can update again. 
          
           
          
          I am a PhD student in the US. Currently, I am in the midst of my field exams, which is a two-fold process. I first need to write essays for my graduate committee, then I go before that same committee to answer questions about everything learned over my readings. After this process, I need to complete my dissertation proposal to get approval on my chosen topic. This process will not be complete until just before Thanksgiving (late November). I thought I would be able to give sporadic updates, but I spend a lot of time not just with writing but with editing for Hostage, so there was no way to be able to complete both processes. 
          
           
          
          I understand if you drop the story, as the aforementioned implies that the wait for an update will be longer than anticipated. Truly, as much as I am sincerely appreciative for the support, my motivation to write stems from the fact that it soothes me. It is a balm for my soul. Therefore, it is my intention to finish the story regardless. Though, if for some reason I needed to discontinue the story, I would be sure to inform everyone versus string anyone along. I am a reader too, and I respect everyone too much to do that. 
          
           
          
          Well, I just wanted to drop by to leave this note, as I barely check in here or any of my social media due to exams. I hope everyone is doing well, keeping safe, healthy, and happy. Sending only good vibes your way
