@Pogers_rogers // just stopping by, the main reason why we authors wrote Y/n as a female is mostly because it's hard to portray a character that is generalized, if we write the character in a specific gender, it may or may not offend others who reads (that's why OC are made to avoid such things).
And also, the reason why mostly you see Y/n as a female is because of the anatomy (specially when you're trying to write explicit contents), luckily for you guys, some author just label Y/n as Afab and use neutral pronouns (but their body is still that of a female a.k.a AFAB)
Again, just a useless information you can ignore. But I symphatize with the author because it's hard to write a story with a generalized character.
