Who else watched After Everything? I think the ending should have never ended the way it did. This movie felt like we got to see Hardin finally heal from his past and forgiving himself and thinking of others before himself. The scene where his dad talked to him about holding a space in his heart for his first true love was so emotional and felt so real because we all have lost love, which we have had to heal from. The ending should have been where they see each other at the wedding and then parted ways. It fasts forwards to years later and Hardin is still writing and publishing his stories, but he looks up and see’s Tessa with someone else. She’s happy and smiling from ear to ear and he looks like he makes her happy, that’s all he’s ever wanted. He’s not sad because he knows she will always hold a space in his heart and he knows love comes and goes. The greatest love burns a memory, a deep imprint in your heart for your first true love’s name. Love can come in many shapes and forms and can come back round again and again, no matter how broken your heart falls to pieces. It takes the right person to heal you again. Hardin just smiles at the couple and moves on. For he knows if two souls belong together, then they will meet again. If not in this life, then they will find each other again in the next.
Sorry rant over! Just my opinion of how the After Everything movie should have ended. It would have made a great statement, as the whole movie was Hardin healing and I think we all can relate.
