I'm not sure if anyone else has these problems, but when I write a female character into my MM stories she gets SOOO much hate. Even if they're nice or a good character. So I slowly stopped writing them and I miss it so much. Do you notice the hate on the female characters?

@Tojiequalsmine I can see what you're saying and it def has opened my own eyes to that. I guess as a girl who likes pink and cutesy feminine things, but it isn't inclusive enough. There's so many women out there who aren't feminine or they have different levels. I love the ideas this gave me. Thank you for the comment/ rant love. I needed it <3

To me, I just hate the way that they are all written the same. What I mean is that 99% of the bxb/mxm books I read, all the female best friends are written the exact same. Energetic, feminine, loud, cutesy, pink, etc. There is no individuality, I guess it’s because I base stuff off the real world. Like not all females who have gay best friends act like that. I’m a female who has gay friends and I’m quiet, introverted, not into clothes, but sometimes I can be a little bit of an extrovert. Honestly my thing about it is that I don’t mind them, but I just hate when they are all written the same, explore personalities with them, basically. Sorry for the rant lmao
