After five years, from the day I wrote the first letter of the first word, the first word of the first chapter, the first chapter of my first story―I am now quitting this stupid, mentally-tiring, and unrewarding venture that is writing stories on Wattpad. (Or, writing stories in general.)
I know I have expressed my desire to quit over and over, only to write another post contradicting my earlier statement. But this time, I think it's time for me to "kick the bucket", so to speak. I know some of you will say, "You haven't proven anything yet, and now you're quitting?" Well, if anything, my fruitless venture has already proven one thing: "contemporary Filipino literature" is just another word for [EXPLETIVE DELETED]. And I want nothing more of it―thank you very much.
I feel like I have decayed over the five years of writing stories that no one reads, because it's clearly not this fantastical story of some [EXPLETIVE DELETED] I'm not going to deny the lack of action on my part, however; at the end of the day, though, whatever promotion I do will have little to no effect on the success (or failure) of my own stories.
Well, I did what I could all these years, but Matsumae Ohana from 'Hanasaku Iroha' is right―"Not all challenges are rewarded."

Alright, since the previous announcement was deleted for some inexplicable reason, I'll post this once again.
My "compilation novel" project is now (mostly) finished! I will publish it, as a whole, on the end of this year; for now, I am on the process of putting up some finishing touches, before publishing it. However, there's some bad news: the "short story" project will be put on the back-burner, because there's one factor I am still stumped―I'm still on the process of figuring out how to overcome it, or get around it at the least.
As for my "second" novel project? Maybe I'll get back to it at the start of the new year . . . then again, no one really cared whether I write something on this site, right?

@lilavarah Hey. It's been a while since last. And . . . whew, it's not a great year for me. As you've noticed, I have a drastic shift on my novel projects: I'm stumped on writing novels, while giving more focus more on the so-called side projects. To be honest, I can feel that I have fallen down a rabbit hole of irrational thoughts and sentiments. (And you'll know how deep the rabbit hole I have fallen once this compilation project is published.) Anyways, I'll see to it that my priorities will be set straight this time around. Happy holidays!

Since I am in the process of re-orienting myself back to writing the "second" novel project that was supposedly slated for this year, I will work on a "side project" for the meantime, while doing such a daunting task.
For those who have remembered seeing 'Sitrep' on my list of stories―which I have since taken down due to a general lack of "curated" topics―I will bring back that concept. This time, however, I might use a different title. All short essays, rants, and animu-related stuff I've written on my Zuccfeed page for this year will be compiled in a non-fiction novel slated for the end of the year. And if you think this will be something "positive" or "inspirational"―be warned: this side project is not for those who want to read the "feelsgoodman" stuff. It will make you say, "Fuck you, Supergrass, and your self-effacing negativity!" But this is real―this will be the closest thing to "picking my brain apart" for readers to dissect and analyze.

I feel I should be ashamed at this point.
My life is now on a slippery slope towards degeneracy; I haven't written anything to my latest novel project; and I am just slowly waking up to a realization that the main reason I've chosen this hard path of being a writer is because I want a 'release valve' for all things that are stuck in my mind for a long time―and avoid the lunatic asylum. Well, I'm mostly ashamed of myself because I've let my inner degenerate get the better of me these past days.
