So, I assume that most of you have probably heard that Supernatural is ending. If you haven't, well I'm sorry to break it to you. Supernatural has been a huge part of my life. I was introduced to it by my best friend. (We aren't friends anymore). After my friend and I stopped being friends, I was afraid to continue to watch it. But I did. And it's one of the best decisions I've made in a while. This show helped me get through all of the pain from the break-up. I started back in August of 2018, and I finished season 13 in October. Also, did you know that I am only three months older than the show? Supernatural has been such a huge part of my life. And I know that it has impacted so many other people's as well.
But I'm not only going to be talking about the show. I'm also going to talk about the cast and fandom. But first the cast. Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki, and Misha Collins are some of my favorite people on the Earth. (As well as other castmates as well). Jensen Ackles is my favorite. He's dorky and shy. But he's also outgoing and one of the best people I know. Jared Padalecki is brave. He's my inspiration for overcoming mental health. Misha Collins is the man that influences me (hehe) to be a better person and to just really be myself. All three of them have made such an impact on my life. Fun fact, whenever I am having a bad day, I go to YouTube and search up videos and edits of them to make myself feel better. And it helped. So fucking much.
Now for the fandom. I have been in SO many toxic fandoms. Take Voltron Legendary Defender for example. I left that fandom–even though I still read Dirty Laundry ALL of the time– because of how hateful it was. But not Supernatural. I don't think I will ever leave it. You know why? Because we're a family. We encourage each other and lift each other up even though we don't know each other. We love so many people that we haven't even met, and it's truly amazing.
I'm sad to see it leave.
